Education
SEVEN
and a half years (total) education in Fine Arts: Chouinard Art School,
Los Angeles, CA now called California Institute of The Arts, in
Valencia, CA, owned by Walt Disney Studios. Previous to Chouinard,
Ninya attended the University of Missouri, Columbia; and Winona State
College, in Minnesota. She also attended William & Mary extension
division, Norfolk, VA while in High School. Additionally she attended
University of Alaska, Juneau while raising her two young daughters in
Alaska.
Experience
Eighteen years experience in the
Insurance Industry where she attained: Ch.F.C. & R.H.U. has rounded
out her expertise in Appraisal work for the Insurance Industry. She
was the #1 largest group Insurance producer, 1989, for NY Life Ins.
Co. She has accrued 154 credit hours towards Master's Degree in Fine
Arts. Residing in Alaska for much of the past 37 years, studying under
Tlingit/Haida Elders and Museum curators, Ninya has become a certified
Appraiser for Native Alaskan Art & Artifacts, and American Indians of
the great Northwest.
The
past 13 years Ninya has done close to 100 individual Art Appraisal
cases and many Corporate cases. A single case has included up to 400
units, single "pieces" of Art, Artifacts, and 3-dimensional "Pieces".
Ninya has contacts and associates through out the Art Industry on whom she
can call to round out her knowledge in all areas of Fine Arts
Appraisal.
